Getting Over Our Stuff

Most of us know what our personal weaknesses are quite well. We have insecurities, fears, internalized thoughts and beliefs, and habits that hold us back and even hurt us. This is our personal stuff that we know intimately because we live with it everyday. It helps to be able to clearly identify what this stuff is, what the exact issues are, so that we can better deal with them. We definitely need to do our own work in order to overcome the issues, such as identifying the issues and habits, and then coming up with ways to combat and overcome the voice in our head and the habits that are hurting us. However, we also need people in our lives to help guide us and push us lovingly in the right direction. We need people to remind us of the truth and help us see a perspective other than our own. This is essential. We get stuck in our stuff too easily and cannot see a way out or simply a different way. We start to feel powerless, like victims. We cannot do it alone. We need others. More specifically, we need people who love us and accept us for who we are now, but who can compassionately show us another way, another perspective. We need to surround ourselves with people whom we know and trust well, who we can be completely open with, who can help guide us and love us to become the love and light we are meant to be.
